This lovely winter-themed anthology has poems and poetic prose by over 60 writers, inspired by the festive season and a range of traditions from across the world, including a micropoem by yours truly. Reinventing Armenia: Poetry after the Genocide The years from 1915 to 1921 were the turning point in modern Armenian history, characterized by displacement and emigration.  This brief selection of poems by iconic poets Nigoghos Sarafian, Paruyr Sevak, and Zahrad, along with an interview with the Armenian Poetry Project’s Director Lola Koundakjian, offers a sampling of the richness of post-genocide writing in this Year of the Armenian Book.
Catherine is headed to Oaxaca, Mexico this month for the Abasto de Letras Festival with Lloyd Robson,  Rei Berroa, and Martha Sofia Estevez. Writers, thea tre groups, storytellers, filmmakers, publishers, performance artists, booksellers, and more fill the city’s central market beginning November 12th.
